Business Intelligence Intern – Operational Excellence (West Africa)

About the role

Join Maersk’s Operational Excellence team in West Africa as a Business Intelligence Intern. You will support the transformation of warehouse operations by turning raw data into actionable insights, automating manual tasks, and developing digital tools.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and structure data from internal sources such as WMS, ERP, Excel files and databases.
• Perform exploratory analysis and build dashboards to highlight trends, bottlenecks and key performance indicators.
• Apply statistical methods (regressions, clustering, time‑series) to understand operational phenomena.
• Develop scripts or small applications to automate repetitive tasks using Python, VBA or similar technologies.
• Create or enhance internal low‑code applications with Power Apps, Power Automate and related tools.
• Document data flows, automation logic and maintain scripts for long‑term use.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program related to data analytics, engineering, computer science or a similar field.
• Strong analytical mindset with interest in logistics and operational improvement.
