Consumer Insights Manager, West Africa

About the role

The Consumer Insights Manager will lead consumer and market intelligence initiatives across West Africa, supporting business growth, brand development and innovation for GBfoods Africa. Reporting to the Consumer Insights Director, the role partners with cross‑functional teams to turn data into actionable strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Consumer Insights agenda across multiple West African markets, aligning insights with business priorities.
• Define and prioritize the research roadmap (ad‑hoc and tracking) across markets and categories.
• Analyse consumer behaviour, market trends, shopper dynamics and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities.
• Synthesize data from retail audits, household panels, competitive intelligence and other sources to generate holistic insights.
• Coordinate continuous tracking studies, retail audits, consumer panels and ad‑hoc research projects.
• Ensure data quality, consistency and harmonisation across countries.
• Manage the consumer insights budget and agency relationships, driving cost efficiency.
• Drive adoption of insights across stakeholders through clear storytelling and business‑relevant communication.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, R&D, Finance and Commercial teams to embed insights into strategies, innovation pipelines and category growth initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading consumer and market intelligence initiatives across multiple countries.
• Strong ability to collaborate with marketing, sales, R&D, finance and commercial teams.
