General Manager – Grain Milling

About the role

The company seeks a hands‑on General Manager to lead its grain‑milling operation in Senegal. Reporting to the VP of Africa, you will be responsible for overall strategy, profitability and reliable delivery across the value chain.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the operation, including P&L, production, logistics and compliance.
• Ensure timely execution from raw material intake to finished‑product delivery while maintaining strict quality and customer‑service standards.
• Drive procurement, logistics and regulatory compliance in line with group policies.
• Communicate clearly with the wider group, embedding social‑responsibility and continuous‑improvement ethos.
• Travel regularly to operational sites and oversee staff development.

Required profile

• Proven leadership and P&L responsibility in an industrial or manufacturing environment, preferably grain milling.
• Experience managing teams through geopolitical or regulatory challenges.
• Track record of process improvement, commercial delivery and team development.
• Fluent in written and spoken French and English.
• Willingness to be based in Dakar with regular travel to sites.
