Information Manager – Senegal (National Applicants Only)

About the role

The International NGO Safety Organization (INSO) is seeking an Information Manager to establish and lead information management across West Africa and the Lake Chad Basin. Based in Dakar, the role reports to the Country Director and works under the technical guidance of the Technology Team at headquarters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide inclusive leadership to the Information and GIS teams, ensuring accountability, collaboration and professional growth.
• Manage and maintain the Conflict & Humanitarian Data Centre (CHDC), ensuring data quality, accuracy and adherence to standards.
• Oversee key systems such as the CHDC, INSO Portal and INSO App, guaranteeing security and effective use of data.
• Produce data‑driven insights through dashboards, maps, charts and analytical products for countries without dedicated IM support.
• Deliver training, onboarding and capacity‑building sessions for staff and partners on data visualization and information management best practices.
• Uphold data protection, confidentiality and ethical information management practices.

Required profile

• National applicant with proven experience in information management or GIS within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage performance and foster a supportive work environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience translating raw data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills in English and French.
