Native Language Annotator & Transcriber – Wolof, Pulaar, Serer

About the role

Digital Divide Data (DDD) is seeking native speakers of Wolof, Pulaar, or Serer to join its remote team of language annotators and transcribers. You will help create high‑quality linguistic data that powers machine‑learning models for Fortune‑500 clients and academic institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Independently transcribe audio recordings in your native language.
• Compare and validate parallel transcripts to produce a final ground‑truth version.
• Capture linguistic nuances, dialects, and contextual cues accurately.
• Perform entity tagging according to detailed client guidelines.
• Conduct speaker diarization by identifying and labeling different speakers.
• Complete internal quality reviews before final QA.

Required profile

• Native fluency (written and spoken) in Wolof, Pulaar, or Serer.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to follow structured linguistic and annotation guidelines.
• Comfortable using online transcription and annotation tools.
• Capacity to maintain consistent quality across multiple work batches.
