Bambara Language Expert – Remote, $95/hr

About the role

We are looking for a native or near‑native Bambara speaker to provide high‑quality translation, editing and linguistic support for our remote projects.

Key responsibilities

• Translate content into and from Bambara with high accuracy and cultural relevance.
• Edit and proofread Bambara language data to ensure quality and consistency.
• Collaborate with teams to annotate, evaluate, and improve language datasets.
• Develop and review linguistic resources, glossaries, and written materials.
• Provide insights on Bambara language nuances, idioms, and cultural context.
• Contribute to improving AI language models through linguistic expertise.
• Ensure timely delivery of tasks while meeting quality standards.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native proficiency in Bambara with strong written and verbal skills.
• Proven experience in translation, editing, or linguistic work.
• Ability to translate complex concepts accurately and fluently.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to linguistic accuracy.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet deadlines.
