Bilingual Legal Specialist – Oilfield Services & Equipment

About the role

We are looking for a bilingual attorney to join our global legal team, focusing on commercial contracts for oilfield services and equipment. The role supports mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic investments across upstream, midstream and downstream operations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct legal reviews of contracts in French and English, identifying and mitigating risks.
• Draft, negotiate and manage master service agreements, pricing agreements, software licences, NDAs, sub‑contracts and other oil & gas related agreements.
• Ensure consistency between French and English versions of all contractual documents.
• Manage outside counsel relationships and report on key legal performance metrics.
• Support global business units and provide practical legal advice to internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in law from an accredited institution.
• At least 5 years of experience negotiating commercial contracts, with a minimum of 2 years in the oil & gas sector.
• Licensed to practice law.
• Fluent in both French and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to advise leaders on contract law, risk exposure and practical business applications.
