IT Telecommunication Assistant (G‑5) – 6‑month contract

About the role

The IT Telecommunication Assistant will support UNICEF’s Digital Impact and ICT services in Dakar. Working within the ICT team, you will provide technical assistance, manage equipment, resolve incidents and help staff adopt digital solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line support to end users, troubleshooting hardware, software, network and telecommunication issues.
• Administer and maintain ICT systems, including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365 and Teams collaboration tools.
• Support deployment, configuration and upkeep of audiovisual and digital collaboration equipment.
• Maintain ICT asset registers and inventory records.
• Deliver user training and guidance to strengthen digital capacity.
• Contribute to business continuity through reliable and secure ICT service delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum secondary education with formal training in Computer Science, Information Systems, Telecommunications or Engineering.
• At least five years of experience in ICT, telecommunications, network administration or help‑desk support.
• Proven ability to support end‑users and resolve technical incidents.
