Senior HR & Labour Relations Manager

About the role

Senior HR & Labour Relations Manager at PMI, driving people strategies, labour relations, employee engagement and organisational effectiveness while ensuring compliance with Senegalese labour legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to develop and implement people strategies aligned to business goals.
• Drive local execution of global P&C initiatives and support organisational transformation, capability building and change management.
• Lead labour relations strategy, manage union negotiations, wage discussions and employee representative consultations.
• Represent the company in disciplinary hearings, disputes and grievance processes, ensuring compliance with labour legislation.
• Support workforce planning, talent acquisition, mobility and succession planning; advise on performance management and organisational design.
• Champion diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and promote an inclusive workplace culture.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in Human Resources, Labour Relations, Industrial Psychology or a similar field.
• Accredited Labour or Employee Relations qualification.
• Minimum 8 years of HR experience with significant exposure to labour relations and generalist functions.
• Strong knowledge of Senegalese labour legislation, union engagement and collective bargaining processes.
• Ability to manage complex employee relations matters with professionalism, empathy and sound judgment.
