Finance Manager

About the role

Mercy Corps is seeking a Finance Manager to lead financial operations for its Senegal country office. Based in Dakar, the role reports to the Country Director and works closely with the Regional Finance Director to ensure sound financial management across all programs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide financial guidance to support strategic decision‑making for ongoing projects and portfolio expansion.
• Ensure compliance of all projects with donor regulations and Mercy Corps financial procedures.
• Assist in preparing annual and proposal budgets, and implement budgeting and grant‑forecasting systems with program managers.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of Expenditure vs. Budget (BVA) reports.
• Manage the country’s accounts, lead finance staff, and coordinate with other departments to maintain accurate financial reporting.
• Support capacity‑building initiatives for team members on financial processes and donor requirements.

Required profile

• Experience managing finance functions for NGOs or development programs.
• Familiarity with donor compliance, grant management, and financial reporting standards.
• Ability to work under the supervision of senior leadership and collaborate across multiple departments.
