Programme Policy Officer – Cooperating Partners Management

About the role

The World Food Programme is seeking a Programme Policy Officer to lead Cooperating Partners Management. Based in Dakar, Senegal, the officer will provide technical advisory services that enhance programme quality, accountability and partnership effectiveness across multiple regions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical advice and policy translation to support partnership management and assurance systems.
• Provide operational field support to country offices in West and Central Africa, Latin America and Caribbean islands, and other regions as needed.
• Assist in the application of corporate policies and guidance in diverse operational contexts, including emergencies.
• Strengthen capacity of partners and internal teams through training and mentorship.
• Monitor and report on the performance of cooperating partners to ensure compliance with WFP standards.

Required profile

• University degree in a relevant field (e.g., international development, public policy, or related).
• Proven experience in programme policy, partnership management, or humanitarian operations.
• Strong understanding of WFP’s programme quality and accountability frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
