Sales Specialist (Hotel & Hospitality)

About the role

The Sales Specialist provides sales support to the hotel sales organization and individual properties in the Diamniadio Sports City area. This role acts as a bench function, covering staffing gaps caused by turnover, leaves, or vacations, and helps drive revenue for new openings, renovations, and priority hotels.

Key responsibilities

• Perform duties of Senior or Destination Sales Executive during absences, ensuring continuity of sales activities.
• Respond to group opportunities that exceed peak room parameters and close deals based on market conditions.
• Partner with sales teams to identify new group and catering business, achieving personal and property revenue goals.
• Assist with the planning, execution, and follow‑up of group sales promotions and site inspections.
• Gather and maintain critical customer data for account executives and remote sales managers.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of experience in sales, marketing, guest services, or related fields, OR a 2‑year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel & Restaurant Management with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Preferred university degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Hotel & Restaurant Management.
• Experience in lodging sales, account management, multi‑brand environments, and familiarity with Marriott sales systems.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Marriott sales systems such as SFAWeb|CI, MRDW, and MarRFP.
