Farm Manager (Relocate to Senegal)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Farm Manager to lead a regenerative, multi‑crop farming operation in Senegal. The role focuses on building sustainable food‑crop systems that enhance soil health, conserve water and generate reliable income in arid, sandy conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, establish and oversee diversified food‑crop production on arid and semi‑arid land.
• Design and implement intercropping, crop‑rotation and cover‑crop strategies suited to low‑fertility soils.
• Manage all phases of cultivation – planting, irrigation, fertilisation, harvesting and post‑harvest handling – for staple, income and vegetable crops.
• Monitor crop health, yields and field performance, adjusting practices to optimise productivity.
• Lead organic soil‑amendment programmes using biochar, compost, vermicompost, mulching and other organic inputs.
• Reduce reliance on synthetic fertilizers and pesticides through regenerative techniques.
• Supervise composting and vermicomposting operations and promote biodiversity on the farm.

Required profile

• Proven experience in diversified, organic or regenerative farming under arid, sandy conditions.
• Strong knowledge of soil restoration methods and moisture‑conservation practices.
• Ability to work independently on a remote farm and relocate to Senegal.
