Finance Intern – Senegal Country Program

About the role

PATH Senegal is looking for a bilingual Finance Intern to support its Finance Operations team for a six‑month renewable assignment. The role offers hands‑on experience in nonprofit financial management, working closely with the Finance and Operations Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Enter financial and accounting data into the Business World ERP system.
• Scan, archive, and file finance documents, supporting the Finance Assistant.
• Assist with cash inventory, monthly closing, and routine banking transactions, including check preparation and wire transfers.
• Process payments for office expenses such as telephone, internet, rent, taxes, and vendor invoices.
• Provide backup support for the Finance Assistant and Mobile Money payment system.
• Prepare monthly fuel cost allocations and participate in audit activities.
• Monitor employee and non‑employee advance accounts to ensure timely clearance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 1–2 years of accounting experience, preferably in an NGO or multinational environment.
• Fluent in English and French.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using an ERP system (Business World preferred).
