IT Operations Associate

About the role

Wave is building the first cashless continent in Africa and needs reliable IT operations to keep its offices and services running smoothly. As an IT Operations Associate you will ensure high‑availability internet, telephony, and network services while supporting employees and internal teams across multiple countries.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain 99.9% uptime for office internet connectivity, coordinating with external suppliers.
• Monitor and troubleshoot SMPP and SIP connections to guarantee timely SMS notifications.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation to resolve tickets for employees, Product & Engineering teams, and external partners.
• Analyse network logs, ISP reports, and telephony platform errors to diagnose and fix connectivity issues.
• Assist with onboarding new hires by provisioning hardware, installing software, and sharing IT best practices.
• Manage user permissions and hardware inventory for staff.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex network and telephony problems.
• Excellent communication skills to guide non‑technical users.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑growing, multi‑country environment.
• Willingness to participate in on‑call rotations and handle urgent incidents.
