Resources Acquisition & Management Director

About the role

The Resources Acquisition & Management Director will provide strategic leadership for World Vision Senegal’s fundraising portfolio, driving income diversification and building strong donor relationships to support child‑focused programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the National Office Resource Acquisition Strategy, focusing on donor engagement, partnership development, and proposal success.
• Lead efforts to secure funding from bilateral/multilateral donors, UN agencies, foundations, corporations and other institutional sources.
• Collaborate with the National Director, senior leadership, programme, finance, MEAL, supply chain, and People & Culture teams to position World Vision Senegal as a partner of choice.
• Build and mentor a high‑performing resource acquisition team, enhancing organisational capability in fundraising, proposal development and grant management.
• Model World Vision’s Christian ethos, safeguarding commitments and servant‑leadership values.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Development Studies, International Development, Business Administration, etc.); Master’s degree strongly preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in resource acquisition, fundraising or business development, with at least 5 years in senior leadership.
• Proven track record securing and managing multi‑million‑dollar institutional grants and leading successful proposals for major donors (e.g., USAID, EU/ECHO, FCDO, UN agencies, World Bank).
• Extensive experience in donor relationship management, consortium development, partnership negotiation and strategic networking.
• Fluency in English and French.
