Site Manager – Mining Operations

About the role

The Site Manager will lead the overall management of the SOMIVA site in Senegal, overseeing assembly work, service support, and the maintenance contract to ensure high performance and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Represent BIA daily, manage service contracts, invoicing and maintain strong relationships with mining customers.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industrial relations, discipline, training, recruitment procedures and oversee the workers’ committee.
• Plan and monitor equipment, parts and service schedules, conduct failure analysis, and maintain fleet availability.
• Carry out inspections, manage non‑conformities, warranty claims and field campaigns, and produce technical failure reports.
• Identify health, safety and environmental issues, implement HSE solutions, conduct risk assessments and ensure safe working conditions.

Required profile

• Higher technical diploma in mechanical, electromechanical or related field.
• Proven experience as a Site Manager or equivalent, preferably with a first successful assignment in Africa.
• Fluent in French and English.

Required skills

• Mechanical or electromechanical engineering knowledge.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (a plus).
