Associate Director, Information Security & Systems Lead

About the role

We are seeking an Information Security and Enterprise Systems Leader to own the end‑to‑end mandate of building and maintaining systems that enable IDinsight teams across 7+ countries to achieve social impact. Reporting to the executive team, you will lead a small team of security and systems specialists, fractional resources and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own multi‑year enterprise systems strategy, select and implement CRMs, ERPs and other platforms, and manage architecture, integration and master data models.
• Lead the information security programme: strategy, control framework, governance, incident response and external assurance.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR and national data‑protection regimes, and establish AI governance policies.
• Manage budget, change adoption, and operational effectiveness across a remote‑first, globally distributed organisation.
• People management: hire, develop and retain technology staff and fractional resources.

Required profile

• 8+ years of technology experience with at least 5 years in information security or enterprise IT leadership, including people management.
• Proven ownership of an organisation‑wide information security programme and experience delivering major enterprise system implementations.
• Strong stakeholder management with senior leadership, funders, government partners and vendors.
• Ability to work in a fast‑moving, remote‑first environment and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Required skills

• Endpoint protection, network security, vulnerability management.
• Identity and access management: SSO, MFA, LDAP, SAML.
• Cloud security architecture and control configuration.
• Enterprise system implementation: ERP, CRM, data modelling.
• Regulatory frameworks: GDPR, NIST CSF, ISO/IEC 27001.
• Security certifications (CISM, CISSP, CISA) preferred.
