Business Development Manager – Mining Software (Africa)

About the role
You will lead the commercial expansion of a comprehensive mining‑software and instrumentation portfolio across the African continent. The role focuses on selling high‑value, integrated solutions to mines, quarries, drill‑and‑blast contractors and heavy civil works projects, while building a network of local partners and subsidiaries.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and engage new prospects across Africa, targeting large‑scale mines, regional quarries, blasting contractors and civil works projects.
- Build and manage a structured, conversion‑driven sales pipeline based on field‑level operational needs.
- Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations of the full digital‑hardware ecosystem to site engineers and corporate decision‑makers.
- Prepare tailored commercial proposals, negotiate terms and secure signed contracts.
- Develop, train and support regional partners, distributors and subsidiaries to amplify sales reach.
- Maintain rigorous CRM reporting and provide market feedback to product and operations teams.
Required profile
- 3–7 years of proven B2B technical sales experience.
- Strong knowledge of at least one sector: Mining, Quarrying, Explosives/Drill‑and‑Blast, or heavy Civil Works.
- Demonstrated ability to sell complex software‑hardware solutions directly and through partner channels.
- Bilingual English (mandatory); professional French is strongly recommended.
- Willingness to travel regularly across Africa and occasionally to Europe.
