Coach – Seasonal Stipend Positions

About the role

St. Louis Catholic School in Austin, TX is seeking coaches for a variety of athletic teams on a seasonal, stipend‑based basis. The role supports the school’s Catholic mission while providing training, skill instruction, and a positive environment for student‑athletes.

Key responsibilities

• Uphold the philosophy of Catholic education and model Gospel values.
• Assist head coaches with training sessions, skill development, and game strategy for sports such as flag football, volleyball, basketball, soccer, track, tennis, and golf.
• Ensure student safety by teaching safety protocols, monitoring heat and weather guidelines, and complying with concussion and bloodborne pathogen policies.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school, parish, and diocesan policies.
• Provide positive discipline, support academic eligibility, and collaborate with school personnel.
• Perform administrative duties as directed by the athletic director.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Previous coaching or playing experience preferred.
• Completion of the "Play Like a Champion" coaches’ workshop.
• Current certification in concussion awareness and bloodborne pathogen safety.
• Commitment to comply with Diocese of Austin Ethics and Integrity in Ministry policies.
