Country Manager, Senegal

About the role

The Country Manager will lead the Senegal Program Office of Catholic Relief Services, representing the organization to government, partners and donors while ensuring high‑quality, impact‑driven programming.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with national and international organizations.
• Oversee workforce planning, team development, staff well‑being and adherence to CRS policies.
• Ensure program quality, donor compliance, and efficient use of resources.
• Manage financial oversight, monthly expenditure analysis and resource allocation.
• Lead fundraising efforts, cultivate donor relationships and identify growth opportunities.
• Implement MEAL standards, promote accountability and knowledge management.
• Coordinate annual planning, risk monitoring and emergency response.
• Foster a safeguarding culture and ensure policy implementation across all functions.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing program offices and multi‑sector teams.
• Demonstrated ability to build strategic partnerships and engage donors.
• Strong background in financial oversight and resource optimization.
• Experience with risk management, emergency response and safeguarding.
• Commitment to CRS values and mission to serve poor and marginalized populations.
