Deputy Country Director – Thies, Senegal

About the role

The Deputy Country Director (DCD) supports the Country Director in leading myAgro’s operations in Senegal. This senior position oversees multiple departments, ensures program delivery, and drives strategic alignment across sales, agriculture, and technology functions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage staff and daily activities for HR, Procurement, Logistics, Call Center and other departments.
• Monitor program performance, ensure targets are met, and use data analysis for decision‑making.
• Shape sales strategy, improve field support systems, and guarantee timely delivery of seeds, fertilizer and other inputs.
• Foster collaboration between Sales, Agriculture, R&D and Technology teams.
• Develop managers and teams through coaching, performance management and career development.
• Represent the Country Director in meetings with government agencies, donors and partners.
• Promote a cohesive, accountable and collaborative organizational culture.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of senior leadership experience overseeing programs and operations such as sales, HR or logistics.
• Proven track record in managing managers, coaching talent and driving performance.
• Strong process orientation with success in planning, systems design and efficiency improvements.
• Solid understanding of business and finance principles and ability to align operational and budget priorities.
• Fluency in English and French; knowledge of Wolof is a plus.
