Field Operations Manager - Senegal

About the role

The Field Operations Manager leads and delivers end-to-end field operations in Senegal, owning inventory management, warehousing, stock points, inbound and outbound logistics, last-mile distribution, cost management and team performance. The role reports to the Global Head of Field Operations and works closely with Commercial, Sales Operations, Supply Chain, Planning, Finance, Aftersales and Customer Experience to turn commercial demand and country forecasts into operational plans.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end inventory management across markets, with monthly reconciliation of physical stock against ERP systems (NAV, Buisy, Nexus)
• Monitor stock movements, aging stock and discrepancies, and manage in-transit inventory visibility
• Manage and lead Field Operations Analysts, standardize data reporting and KPIs, and deliver weekly and monthly performance reports
• Develop and automate dashboards and reporting tools, and act as first escalation point for inventory and system issues
• Partner with Sales Operations on agent inventory, stock allocation and replenishment
• Drive adoption of ERP systems, troubleshoot them and enforce standardized SOPs for inventory tracking and reporting
• Conduct regular field visits, coach field teams and track cost performance against budget

Required profile

• Progressive experience in field operations, supply chain, logistics or inventory management, preferably in a multi-site, high-growth environment such as FMCG, manufacturing, renewable energy, retail or last-mile distribution
• Experience building and scaling warehouse and stock point networks
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, operations management, business administration, engineering or a related field; postgraduate qualifications or certifications are an advantage
• Proven experience building and managing operational teams across multiple locations

Required skills

• Inventory controls: reconciliations, cycle counts, wall-to-wall counts, stock aging and variance management
• Inbound and outbound logistics, including importation, customs clearance and last-mile distribution
• Experience managing third-party logistics providers, transporters, warehouse vendors and landlords
• ERP systems: Microsoft Dynamics NAV, SAP or comparable platforms are highly desirable
• Advanced Excel and reporting; Power BI or similar BI tools are an advantage
