Financial Inclusion Officer

About the role

The Financial Inclusion Officer will support Blue Ventures’ Financial Inclusion programme in Senegal and The Gambia, working closely with partners and coastal communities to strengthen financial resilience and improve household livelihoods.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, adapt and implement tools, guidelines and training materials on financial literacy, VSLA management, savings and loans, business development and income‑generating activities.
• Provide technical support, training, mentoring and peer‑learning opportunities to partners and communities.
• Support data collection, analysis and knowledge sharing of good practices.
• Integrate financial inclusion and sustainable livelihood approaches into broader fisheries management and conservation programmes.

Required profile

• Experience working with coastal communities and partners on financial inclusion or livelihood programmes.
• Ability to travel frequently across Senegal and The Gambia.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills.
