About the role

Wave is building a cash‑less Africa and needs a dedicated professional to keep its Financial Services portfolio running smoothly. As the Financial Services Operations Partner you will be the single point of ownership that connects product, finance, risk, customer service and external partners, ensuring that merchant cash advances, insurance and lending products deliver value without gaps.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate day‑to‑day operational tasks across markets and internal teams to guarantee product performance for customers and partners.
• Act as the connective tissue between Customer Services, Finance, Business Development, Product, Risk and external partners, ensuring issues are owned end‑to‑end.
• Develop and maintain specialist knowledge of non‑standard products such as merchant cash advances, insurance and lending.
• Identify recurring issues, move from case‑by‑case firefighting to structural solutions, and implement process improvements.
• Use data to surface early‑stage risks, flag potential collections cases and engage merchants before problems escalate.
• Champion operational excellence across the Financial Services portfolio, safeguarding revenue capture and partner commitments.
