French AI Data Trainer - Remote

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented French AI Data Trainer to join our remote safety evaluation team. In this hourly contractor position you will assess AI‑generated content, annotate safety‑critical datasets, and help improve the alignment of large language models.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate AI responses for accuracy, safety, and compliance with policy.
• Annotate and label datasets in French and English with precise linguistic quality.
• Identify unsafe content such as hate, sexual material, violence, bias, misinformation, illegal activities, and malicious code.
• Score multiple model outputs using safety and quality rubrics.
• Detect model failure patterns (evasion, escalation, unsafe normalization) and conduct red‑team or adversarial testing.
• Document findings, reasoning, and recommendations clearly.
• Support the refinement of annotation guidelines and ensure consistent policy interpretation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in linguistics, communications, psychology, law, policy, security studies, or a related field.
• Native or near‑native proficiency in French (reading and writing) and C1‑level English.
• Experience in trust & safety, content moderation, policy enforcement, risk operations, or safety evaluation.
• Proven experience red‑team­ing large language models and documenting safety boundaries.
• Strong analytical judgment, high attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Use of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexance or similar platforms.
• Experience with structured safety taxonomies and labeling frameworks.
