Logistics Manager – Senegal

About the role

OBT is seeking a Logistics Manager to lead and coordinate all logistics, shipping, warehousing, and supply‑chain activities across Senegal. You will ensure efficient, compliant, and cost‑effective movement of goods, working closely with internal teams, ports, agents, freight forwarders, customs authorities, and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end logistics operations including shipping agency, port calls, cargo handling, freight forwarding, storage and distribution.
• Coordinate with ports, vessels, agents, customs, warehouses and other stakeholders to guarantee smooth flow of goods.
• Plan and manage project cargo and heavy‑lift operations, including chartering, scheduling, loading/unloading and documentation.
• Monitor performance metrics such as transit times, port handling efficiency, storage utilization, costs and compliance.
• Develop logistics strategies to optimise routes, reduce costs and improve delivery times while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in logistics, shipping or maritime operations, preferably with exposure to African markets.
• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply‑chain, business, maritime studies or equivalent experience.
• Willingness to relocate to Senegal and work on‑site.
• Proven leadership or team‑management ability and strong communication skills.
