MEAL Program Manager II – Local Contract

About the role

The MEAL Program Manager II will lead Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) for the Maternal, Newborn and Child Health & Nutrition (MCH & Nutrition) program under the CGPP Senegal framework. You will ensure robust data systems, high‑quality interventions, and continuous program improvement in line with Catholic Relief Services’ standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight of MEAL throughout the program cycle, ensuring compliance with CRS quality principles, donor guidelines, and best practices.
• Design, supervise, and strengthen data collection, management, and reporting systems at community, health‑facility, and partner levels.
• Manage and develop the MCH & Nutrition team, including performance management, coaching, and staff well‑being.
• Lead program learning initiatives, identify research opportunities, and disseminate lessons learned.
• Contribute to proposal development, defining monitoring systems and indicators.
• Oversee capacity‑building activities for staff and partners to enhance program impact.
• Identify, assess, and strengthen partnerships relevant to the MCH & Nutrition program.
• Ensure timely and appropriate project expenditures and resource stewardship.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in International Development, International Relations, MEAL, or a related field (experience may substitute for education).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant project management experience, including at least 3 years in MEAL.
• Proven experience managing complex health or nutrition programs in humanitarian or development settings.
