Member Service Representative – Dakar

About the role

The United Nations Federal Credit Union (UNFCU) is seeking a Member Service Representative to join its Dakar office. You will deliver prompt, courteous service to members, help them meet their financial needs, and support the day‑to‑day operations of the credit union.

Key responsibilities

• Provide exceptional member service through effective relationship building and problem solving.
• Identify members' financial needs, promote UNFCU products, and refer to appropriate services.
• Process new account and loan applications, verify eligibility, and open memberships.
• Investigate and resolve member account or loan issues, keeping members informed of status.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and UNFCU regulations, including BSA/AML and anti‑money‑laundering policies.
• Prepare and submit required BSA reports (CTRs, SARs) and complete annual AML training.
• Handle telephone inquiries, correspondence, and perform clerical or reception duties as needed.
• Deliver member presentations and service calls within the assigned location and to out‑of‑station members.

Required profile

• University degree.
• 3–4 years of experience in a financial institution, preferably retail banking.
• Professional fluency in English and French (excellent oral and written communication).
• Strong knowledge of banking products and regulatory compliance.
