National Marketing Manager

About the role

Promasidor is looking for a National Marketing Manager in Senegal to oversee the design, planning, execution and evaluation of all strategic marketing and communication processes and activities. The role ensures synergy and consistency between above-the-line and below-the-line communication.

Key responsibilities

• Control and analyse bills of materials, pricing structures, promotions, new product launches and new distribution policies.
• Negotiate and purchase media airtime to maximise value through discounts and bonus placements.
• Develop annual marketing communication objectives, strategies and budgets, and prepare a yearly events and promotions plan.
• Prepare monthly marketing expenditure tracking reports and monthly activity reports against agreed performance parameters.
• Conduct periodic field audits of merchandising execution and branding compliance.
• Lead initiatives to identify new promotional tools and improve existing marketing assets.
• Ensure a strong media presence, manage relationships with media houses and develop key messages for each target audience.
• Implement the annual brand plan, monitor POSM inventory at retail outlets and act as brand ambassador across retail and distribution channels.
• Provide strategic leadership to the marketing team, contribute to quarterly board reviews and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in marketing or a relevant field.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of marketing experience.
• Vast knowledge of the food and beverage market.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of current marketing trends and multimedia platforms.
• Excellent presentation, people-management and leadership skills.
• Solid understanding of public relations principles and practices.
• Ability to analyse research data and turn it into brand decisions, forecasts and strategic projections.
• Good knowledge of PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
