Operations Manager – Sahel

About the role

The Operations Manager will lead the full operational performance of a multi‑country agro‑industrial business across Senegal, Mali, Togo, Benin and Burkina Faso. Reporting to the General Manager, the role oversees logistics, production, warehousing, distribution, maintenance and QHSE compliance for a team of 40 staff.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise product unloading, customs clearance and inland transfers, optimizing logistics flows, lead times and costs.
• Coordinate production planning, scheduling and execution while managing storage, customer distribution and inter‑country road transits.
• Ensure accurate ERP administration (Microsoft Dynamics 365) for all operational transactions.
• Oversee equipment and infrastructure maintenance to guarantee facility availability and reliability.
• Develop and monitor OPEX and CAPEX budgets, analyse KPIs and drive corrective actions.
• Lead continuous‑improvement and cost‑reduction initiatives using Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Define and execute operational development projects, ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines and objectives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related technical discipline.
• 8–10 years of operations management experience in a multinational environment.
• Proven leadership of multi‑site or international teams, preferably in agro‑industry.
• Strong analytical, communication and results‑oriented mindset.
