People Operations Specialist (Contract) – Senegal

About the role

We are seeking a People Operations Specialist to serve as the local People & Culture partner for our Senegal office. In this contract role you will support employees throughout their lifecycle, from onboarding to off‑boarding, and act as the primary point of contact for HR‑related queries.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line support for employee questions on onboarding, benefits, payroll and Workday usage.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle, ensuring smooth onboarding and off‑boarding processes.
• Handle employee queries through Workday Help, delivering timely and accurate responses.
• Coordinate with external vendors such as payroll, benefits and immigration providers.
• Support compliance with local HR regulations and administrative requirements.
• Contribute to projects and initiatives that improve the overall employee experience.

Required profile

• Solid experience in HR or People Operations, preferably with exposure to West Africa or Senegal.
• Fluent in English and French, with strong communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented, organized and able to juggle multiple priorities.
• Empathetic, curious and solutions‑focused.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Workday, including troubleshooting day‑to‑day issues.
