Product Relations Manager

About the role

Wave Mobile Money is seeking a Product Relations Manager to own the product and technical dimension of external partner integrations. Based in Dakar, you will act as the bridge between partners and internal engineering teams, ensuring seamless integration from scoping to production launch.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage partner relationships end‑to‑end, handling scoping, development, testing and launch.
• Evaluate partners' technical readiness and provide go/no‑go recommendations.
• Lead technical scoping, translate requirements into engineering specifications, and hold partners accountable for delivery.
• Monitor integration health post‑launch, resolve performance issues, and identify opportunities to deepen partnerships.
• Make data‑driven build‑vs‑buy decisions and lead cross‑functional execution across Engineering, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Marketing, Support and Partner Operations.

Required profile

• 4–7 years of experience in product management, technical partnerships or integration management within fintech, mobile money, digital payments or telecommunications.
• Strong commercial awareness of how integrations drive transaction volume and revenue.
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi‑stakeholder integrations involving banks, telcos, utilities or government agencies.
• Excellent communication skills in both French and English.
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Economics or related field.

Required skills

• Technical fluency with API documentation (REST, SOAP, webhooks).
• Understanding of VPN setups, timeout configurations and integration testing.
• Data‑driven decision‑making using transaction and operational metrics.
