Project Manager (P-5) – Temporary Assignment, 6 months

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a senior Project Manager (P-5) on a six‑month temporary appointment to lead the relocation of its UNHMU operations to Diamniadio, Senegal. The role provides senior‑level project management, strategic coordination and surge capacity to ensure organizational readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the PBR package, including affordability analysis, job descriptions and organisational charts.
• Design and implement a comprehensive recruitment plan to achieve full UNHMU staffing.
• Lead relocation and facilities management, producing work‑plans, risk registers and seating plans, and oversee de‑commissioning of current premises.
• Establish business continuity protocols and ensure they are operationalised.
• Coordinate change‑management activities, including a validated Change Management Task Force work‑plan and a functioning staff inquiry system with SLA targets.
• Deliver staff support interventions, workshops and ongoing engagement initiatives.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Project Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Operations Management, Change Management or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience in project management and large‑scale organisational change.
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi‑stakeholder initiatives in an international environment.
