Regenerative Multi-Crop Farm Manager (Relocate to Senegal)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and educated farm manager to lead regenerative multi‑crop farming operations in Senegal. The role focuses on building sustainable, climate‑resilient food production systems on arid, sandy soils using organic and regenerative practices.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, establish and manage diversified food‑crop systems under arid and semi‑arid conditions.
• Design and implement intercropping and crop‑rotation schemes suitable for low‑fertility soils.
• Oversee cultivation, irrigation, fertilisation, harvesting and post‑harvest handling of multiple crops.
• Monitor crop health, productivity and field performance.
• Implement regenerative agriculture techniques, including biochar, compost, vermicompost, mulching and cover crops.
• Develop soil‑improvement programmes to increase organic matter, water retention and microbial activity.
• Reduce reliance on synthetic fertilizers and pesticides through biological approaches.
• Promote biodiversity and sustainable moisture‑conservation practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing diversified food‑crop production on arid, sandy soils.
• Strong knowledge of organic and regenerative farming methods.
• Experience with soil amendment programmes using biochar, compost, vermicompost and mulches.
• Familiarity with drought‑resistant and climate‑resilient crops such as millet, sorghum, maize, cowpea, upland rice, cassava, sweet potato, groundnut, Bambara groundnut, okra, onion, tomato, eggplant and chili.
