Resource Acquisition & Management Director

About the role

The Resource Acquisition & Management Director provides strategic leadership for World Vision Senegal’s fundraising portfolio. Reporting to the National Director, the role shapes and executes the resource acquisition strategy to secure diversified, sustainable funding for child‑focused programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation and periodic review of the national Resource Acquisition Strategy, ensuring alignment with programme priorities.
• Design annual acquisition plans, set targets and performance indicators, and monitor progress.
• Identify and pursue strategic funding opportunities from bilateral, multilateral, UN agencies, foundations, corporations and other institutional donors.
• Drive diversification of the funding base to reduce reliance on single sources and increase sustainable institutional income.
• Oversee donor engagement, partnership development, consortium building, proposal writing and successful award transition.
• Collaborate with senior leadership, programme, finance, communications, MEAL, supply chain and people & culture teams to position World Vision Senegal as a partner of choice.
• Build and lead a high‑performing resource acquisition team, fostering capability in fundraising, business development and grant management.

Required profile

• Senior leader with extensive experience in fundraising, donor engagement and grant acquisition within the nonprofit sector.
• Proven ability to develop and execute strategic resource acquisition plans and diversify funding streams.
• Strong understanding of bilateral, multilateral and institutional donor landscapes, especially in West Africa.
• Demonstrated leadership, integrity, servant‑leadership mindset and alignment with World Vision’s Christian values.
