Resources Acquisition & Management Director

About the role

As Resources Acquisition & Management Director, you will provide strategic leadership, direction, and oversight for World Vision Senegal's resource acquisition and fundraising portfolio. You will lead the development and implementation of the National Office Resource Acquisition Strategy, focusing on income diversification, donor engagement, partnership development, consortium building, proposal development, and award transition.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the national resource acquisition strategy, ensuring alignment with World Vision’s programme priorities.
• Lead efforts to secure funding from bilateral and multilateral donors, governments, UN agencies, foundations, corporations and other institutional sources.
• Collaborate with the National Director, senior leadership, programme, finance, operations, communications, MEAL, supply chain, and regional offices to position World Vision Senegal as a partner of choice.
• Build and manage a high‑performing resource acquisition team, strengthening organisational capability in fundraising, donor engagement and proposal development.
• Model World Vision’s Christian ethos, safeguarding commitments and servant‑leadership standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, International Development, Business Administration, Economics, Social Sciences, International Relations, Public Administration or related field; Master’s degree strongly preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of progressively responsible experience in resource acquisition, fundraising or institutional donor engagement, preferably within an international NGO.
• At least 5 years in a senior leadership or management role overseeing complex programmes and large multi‑million‑dollar grants.
• Proven track record securing and managing large institutional grants from donors such as USA Government, EU/ECHO, FCDO, UN agencies, World Bank, AfDB and foundations.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary proposal teams, consortium development, partnership negotiation and strategic networking.
• Fully fluent in English and French.
