Resources Acquisition & Management Director

About the role

The Director of Resources Acquisition & Management provides strategic leadership for World Vision Senegal’s fundraising portfolio, driving income diversification and aligning resource acquisition with the organisation’s child‑well‑being priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and periodically review the national Resource Acquisition Strategy, ensuring alignment with programme priorities and funding opportunities.
• Lead strategic engagement with institutional donors, governments, UN agencies and private‑sector partners to position World Vision Senegal as a preferred partner.
• Identify, analyse and prioritise funding opportunities, maintaining a dynamic pipeline and pre‑positioning the organisation for upcoming calls.
• Oversee the development of high‑quality proposals and concept notes, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring robust budgets and compliance.
• Build and manage consortiums with NGOs, academic institutions and private‑sector actors to strengthen proposal competitiveness.
• Ensure smooth transition of awarded grants to implementation teams while maintaining compliance with donor requirements and internal policies.

Required profile

• Senior leadership experience in fundraising, donor engagement or resource acquisition within an NGO or development context.
• Demonstrated ability to model World Vision’s Christian ethos, safeguarding commitments and servant‑leadership values.
• Strong strategic thinking, stakeholder management and evidence‑based decision‑making skills.
