Seasonal Coach (Various Sports) – Stipend Position

About the role

St. Louis Catholic School in Austin, TX is seeking enthusiastic coaches to lead a variety of athletic teams on a seasonal, stipend‑based basis. You will work closely with head coaches to deliver training, develop player skills, and foster a positive, values‑driven team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support and uphold the philosophy of Catholic education and the school’s mission.
• Model Gospel values and professional sportsmanship for student‑athletes.
• Teach essential safety practices, monitor heat and weather guidelines, and ensure compliance with concussion and bloodborne pathogen protocols.
• Instruct athletes on game strategy, skills, and rules while using positive discipline methods.
• Collaborate with school staff to align athletic activities with academic eligibility and transportation policies.
• Perform administrative duties assigned by the athletic director and attend required meetings.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous coaching or playing experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Completion of the “Play Like a Champion” coaches’ workshop.
• Current certifications in concussion awareness and bloodborne pathogen safety.
• Commitment to adhere to Diocese of Austin Ethics and Integrity in Ministry policies.
