Senior Graphic Designer (Maternity Leave Replacement)

About the role

CPCS, a global employee-owned management consulting firm advising infrastructure leaders, is looking for a Senior Graphic Designer to replace someone on maternity leave. The role starts as an 8-month contract with the possibility of becoming permanent. It is remote, based within Dakar or Abidjan, and pays between €12,806 and €18,294 depending on experience, education and skills.

Key responsibilities

• Report to the Creative Team Lead and own the design and production of business development materials such as proposals, expressions of interest, reports, PowerPoint presentations and knowledge assets, adapting layouts to client branding.
• Turn complex data and research into infographics, visual storytelling and data visualisations.
• Lead the layout and production of large, complex reports with clear information hierarchy.
• Create internal and client-facing videos, from concept through editing, motion graphics, audio editing and export.
• Design marketing collateral for print and digital channels and coordinate photo and video opportunities with Marketing and Communications.
• Apply brand and accessibility standards, improve templates and visual assets, and recommend workflow improvements.
• Mentor colleagues and give constructive design feedback.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in graphic design or a related field.
• At least 5 years of progressive experience in graphic design or visual communications, with a portfolio showing independent ownership of complex projects.
• Excellent written and oral English; French is an asset.
• Experience in video production is a plus.

Required skills

• Video editing, motion graphics and post-production (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects)
• Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat, plus PowerPoint and Word; familiarity with Excel
• Typography, layout and brand strategy
