Senior Manager / Consultant – Usage Based Services

About the role

Tata Communications is seeking a Senior Manager / Consultant to lead customer relationships for its Usage Based Services (UBS) portfolio, which includes Voice, Messaging and Mobility Core solutions. The role focuses on growing traffic volumes, market share and net revenues through both farming (existing accounts) and hunting (new business) activities.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned UBS accounts, building trusted advisor relationships with stakeholders and executive sponsors.
• Negotiate contracts, respond to RFPs and close agreements to maximize profitability.
• Ensure timely delivery of solutions that align with customer objectives and communicate progress to internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and execute plans to capture new business within existing accounts and identify fresh opportunities to meet sales quotas.
• Forecast and track key account metrics, including quarterly sales results and annual forecasts.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to uncover and grow opportunities within the territory.
• Handle challenging client requests, issue escalations and provide market intelligence on regulatory, industry and competitive trends.
• Monitor daily traffic, negotiate pricing, manage inventory and onboard new customers or suppliers for Voice, Messaging and Mobility Core services.

Required profile

• Proven experience in telecom wholesale sales, preferably with voice, messaging or mobility core services.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with MNO/MVNO, aggregators, carriers, OLOs, ISPs and CPaaS/CCaaS providers.
• Demonstrated ability to drive growth through both account farming and new‑business hunting.
• Excellent negotiation, contract management and RFP handling capabilities.
• Analytical mindset to forecast sales, track metrics and provide market insights.
