Service Engineer – St Louis, MO

About the role

The Service Engineer provides technical support to the District Sales Manager and serves as the first line of defense for customers within the assigned territory. The role involves troubleshooting, coordinating resources, and supporting sales activities across corporate and independent chemical accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Act as technical support for the District Sales Manager on designated corporate and independent chemical accounts.
• Serve as the first line of defense for customer issues within the territory and route problems to appropriate home‑office resources.
• Collect samples and data from corporate accounts and assist in developing sales with distributors when directed.
• Conduct short technical seminars at corporate sites.
• Audit regional laboratories and perform required tests.
• Travel extensively, typically four days per week, including overnight stays.

Required profile

• Completed high school education; a bachelor’s degree is a plus.
• 1–4 years of experience in manufacturing, chemical, industrial service, or sales environments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interaction with plant personnel and company staff.
• Willingness and ability to travel and stay overnight as needed.
