Transcripteur multilingue (Wolof, Pulaar, Diola, Mandingue) – contrat journalier

About the role

The World Food Programme is recruiting freelance transcribers to support a project evaluation in Senegal. Candidates will work remotely to transcribe and translate a set of audio recordings collected in Wolof, Pulaar, Diola, Mandingue and French. The assignment lasts up to ten days, depending on the volume of work.

Key responsibilities

• Listen to each audio file and produce a written transcript in its original language using Microsoft Word.
• Translate every transcript into French, also in Microsoft Word format.
• Upload the completed documents to the SharePoint folder provided by the programme and notify the team.

Required profile

• At least a secondary school diploma; a university degree is an advantage.
• Fluent written and spoken French.
• Proficiency in at least one of the local languages (Wolof, Pulaar, Diola, Mandingue).
• Previous experience with UN agencies or NGOs is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficient use of Microsoft Word.
• Familiarity with SharePoint for file management.
• Ability to work independently with personal computer equipment.
