Web Research Specialist

About the role

We are building an evaluation benchmark for frontier AI browsing agents. The Web Research Specialist will design research problems that state‑of‑the‑art AI cannot solve, even with full web access, and provide a complete, auditable evidence trail.

Key responsibilities

• Construct natural‑language research questions with short, objectively verifiable answers that are deliberately hard for AI to locate.
• Generate multiple independent clues spanning dates, people, places, organisations, works, events, records, and quantities, each with specific constraints.
• Document the validation process, including the searches performed and the results obtained.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or at least three years of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to conduct open‑web research, locate primary records, and navigate government, institutional, and archival databases.
• Precision in sourcing, citing exact pages, tables, and sections.
• Native or near‑native written English and comfort researching unfamiliar subjects from scratch.

What we offer

• Estimated earning potential of approximately $30 per approved task.
• Eight‑week project, up to 40 hours per week.
• Fully remote work, paid in USD.
• Opportunity to contribute to cutting‑edge AI evaluation benchmarks.
