Workshop Manager – Equipment Rebuild

About the role

BIABIA Group is seeking a Workshop Manager to lead its equipment rebuild facility in Senegal. You will ensure projects are delivered with the highest quality, reliability, and within the planned timeframes, supporting the sales, rentals, and after‑sales services for public works, mining, and transport equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Utilise workshop labour and resources to meet operational targets.
• Assist the workshop manager in short‑ and mid‑term planning, considering parts delivery.
• Monitor daily work progress against the plan and allocate job cards to technicians.
• Supervise sub‑ordinates to produce quality work following Komatsu Standard Procedures and KRCC EMS shop certification.
• Ensure proper use of RESO software and maintain detailed documentation, including labor records, parts consumption, and job photographs.
• Provide daily operational reports, timesheets, and component testing results to the Senior Supervisor.
• Promote a zero‑tolerance safety culture and maintain a clean, safe workshop environment.

Required profile

• Craft or advanced certificate in a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in a fully equipped REMAN workshop handling mining machine components.
• Strong knowledge of mechanics and electricity.
• Proven experience with rebuild facility procedures, component removal and installation.
• Good computer literacy, especially MS‑Word, Excel and Microsoft Project.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, teamwork and customer focus.
