Analyst – Advice for Small Businesses Programme

About the role

The Analyst will support the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development’s Advice for Small Businesses (ASB) Programme in Dakar, Senegal. Working under the Principal Manager, the role involves delivering advisory projects, conducting due diligence and contributing to business development for SME clients.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and monitor advisory activities in line with EBRD policies, donor requirements and compliance standards.
• Analyse client financial statements and growth prospects to design impactful advisory support.
• Identify and engage suitable consultants or experts for project assignments.
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of high‑quality SME clients in priority sectors such as digital, green, inclusion and innovation.
• Coordinate visibility and stakeholder outreach activities, ensuring synergy between advisory and banking programmes.
• Contribute to regular portfolio assessment, reporting and value‑creation initiatives.

Required profile

• University degree in finance, economics, business administration or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to assess financial data and business models.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Ability to work under supervision, collaborate with international teams and meet tight deadlines.
