Bid Writer for International Development Proposals

About the role

Global Rights Compliance is seeking experienced bid writers to join a pre‑qualified pool that will provide ad‑hoc proposal drafting support to its Partnerships & Development team. The role is remote and focuses on creating high‑quality, donor‑compliant funding applications.

Key responsibilities

• Review funding opportunities, notices of funding, and donor solicitation documents to identify requirements and evaluation criteria.
• Draft and edit expressions of interest, concept notes, technical proposals, grant applications, executive summaries and capability statements.
• Work with technical leads, finance and partners to ensure proposals are consistent, meet donor criteria and include accurate budget narratives.
• Adapt language, structure and style to match the expectations of each donor while accurately representing GRC’s expertise.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in bid writing or grant proposal development, preferably in international development.
• Proven ability to translate complex technical inputs into clear, persuasive donor‑facing narratives.
• Strong research, analytical and storytelling skills in English.
• Experience working with institutional, governmental or philanthropic donors such as U.S. State Department, EU, UK FCDO, Dutch MFA, UN agencies or private foundations.
