Bilingual Manager (French/English)

About the role

Global Health Strategies is seeking a bilingual (French/English) manager to lead communications and advocacy projects for its clients across Africa and beyond. The position is a consultancy based in Dakar, operating in a hybrid work model.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute communications and advocacy strategies that align with client objectives and showcase GHS services.
• Translate complex public‑health concepts into clear, actionable content such as fact sheets, speeches, press releases, media advisories, opinion pieces, web articles, and social‑media posts.
• Produce multimedia and audiovisual materials to enhance campaign impact.
• Identify and cultivate media contacts, draft compelling pitches, and manage media outreach to secure coverage.
• Build and maintain stakeholder networks, including clients, partners, reporters, and editors.

Required profile

• Minimum six years of experience designing and implementing communications or advocacy projects.
• Strong understanding of global public‑health and development issues.
• Proven ability to work in fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environments.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French; advanced university degree is a plus.
