Bioenergy Consultant

About the role

The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is seeking a Bioenergy Consultant to support the implementation of its methane emissions abatement project in Senegal. The consultant will work for six months from the GGGI office in Dakar, providing technical and analytical support to develop a pipeline of methane reduction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct desk research and prepare analytical reports on bioenergy and methane reduction opportunities.
• Plan, organize, and facilitate meetings, field trips, workshops and other project events.
• Oversee the firm conducting pre‑feasibility studies, including monitoring progress, reviewing reports and following up on deliverables.
• Identify challenges, capture lessons learned and contribute to project monitoring and evaluation.
• Support the organization of local events and missions, representing GGGI in stakeholder interactions.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Senegal Country Programs Lead or Project Manager.

Required profile

• Available for a six‑month consultancy based in Dakar, Senegal.
• Ability to work under the technical oversight of the Project Manager and the supervision of the GGGI Senegal Country Representative.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in environmental or bioenergy projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
