Carbon Project Manager - Senegal

About the role

The Carbon Project Manager will lead Article 6.2 carbon projects in Senegal from inception through carbon credit issuance, coordinating field teams, technical experts, auditors, government stakeholders and local communities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full project cycle, including programme submissions, final verification reports and issuance milestones.
• Coordinate field research, data collection, quality assurance and compliance monitoring across quarterly and annual cycles.
• Lead stakeholder consultations, community engagement and liaison with French‑speaking partners and English‑speaking technical teams.
• Oversee audit logistics, maintain audit readiness and ensure documentation meets certification standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing carbon or environmental projects, preferably under Article 6.2.
• Fluent in French and comfortable working with local languages and English‑speaking teams.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to track multiple milestones and mitigate risks.

Required skills

• Data collection tools such as ODK, KoboToolbox or SurveyCTO.
• Knowledge of carbon certification standards and MRV (Measurement, Reporting, Verification) processes.
